Euthanasia

The word “euthanasia” literally means “good death”. Veterinarians are the only medical profession licensed to perform this gift we can offer our pets when their quality of life has depleted. We take the utmost pride in having the technical, medical, and soft skills necessary to provide a peaceful end-of-life experience for your beloved pet.

Talking about pet euthanasia takes non-judgement, openness, honesty, compassion, and empathy. All our staff have experienced the loss of a pet and we are here for you and your family at this time. It is a difficult conversation to have, and we are here to help you know when the quality of life has been met and the decision for euthanasia is warranted.  We feel it an honor and a privilege to be with you and your pet at that hardest hour.

We do offer in-home euthanasia on a scheduled basis. We do not perform this service on after hours emergency except for our large animal pets. We feel that after consultation and discussions we can schedule the end of life when it is best for each family member and at a more convenient time at the office or home.
