A Thoughtful Approach to Comfort and Mobility

Managing pain is an essential part of compassionate, high-quality veterinary care. At North Iredell Animal Hospital, we take a thoughtful, individualized approach to pain management, focusing on comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Pain may present in subtle behavioral changes or more obvious signs of discomfort and mobility limitation. Our team works closely with pet parents to identify concerns early and develop treatment plans tailored to each pet’s condition, age, and lifestyle.

Comprehensive Pain Management Options

Pain management strategies may include:

  • Medication-based therapy, including anti-inflammatory medications, pain relievers, and adjunct medications when appropriate
  • Companion Cold Laser Therapy, a non-invasive treatment that may help reduce pain and inflammation while supporting healing. Cold laser therapy can be beneficial for pets with arthritis, soft tissue injuries, post-operative recovery needs, and certain inflammatory conditions. Treatment plans are adjusted based on your pet’s comfort and response
  • Supportive care and activity modification, including rest recommendations and lifestyle adjustments
  • Post-surgical pain management with individualized plans to support recovery and comfort

For pets with chronic conditions such as arthritis or age-related mobility changes, we focus on sustained comfort and preserving daily function. The goal is not only to manage pain, but to help pets remain active, comfortable, and engaged in everyday life.

Pain management works best as a collaborative effort. We take time to explain available options, monitor response to therapy, and adjust treatment plans as needed, always prioritizing your pet’s comfort and wellbeing.

North Iredell Animal Hospital is the best vets we’ve ever had!!!! Awesome health care animal loving team!!!
