Rabies Vaccination

Rabies vaccination is required by law for dogs, cats, and ferrets in North Carolina and serves as an essential safeguard for pets, people, and the broader community. We administer rabies vaccines as part of routine preventive care and help ensure your pet remains current and compliant with applicable regulations.

If you have questions about vaccination intervals, documentation, or certification, our team is available to assist.

Bite Quarantine Services

If a pet bites a person or another animal, state and local regulations may require a rabies quarantine period. We provide bite quarantine services when appropriate and guide pet parents through the process with clarity and support.

Quarantine services may include:

  • Explanation of required quarantine length and conditions
  • Coordination with local authorities when necessary
  • Medical monitoring and documentation as required
  • Ongoing communication throughout the quarantine period

Quarantine arrangements are determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on vaccination status, the circumstances of the bite, and regulatory requirements. Our priority is ensuring compliance while maintaining the safety and wellbeing of both pets and people.

Guidance During Difficult Situations

Our team takes time to explain next steps, answer questions, and provide clear instructions during bite-related situations. We strive to make the process as straightforward and supportive as possible while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

If you have concerns about rabies vaccination status, a recent bite incident, or quarantine requirements, please contact our office so we can help guide you appropriately.
